We want you to feel comfortable and informed about every part of your care — including the cost. Our team is here to help you understand your insurance benefits, estimated out-of-pocket expenses, and available payment options so you can feel prepared before treatment.
We accept many dental insurance plans and will work with you to help maximize your available benefits. Please note that our office does not participate with medical insurance plans.
Dental Insurance Plans
Our office currently participates with many major dental insurance plans, including:
Delta Dental • Aetna • Anthem • Cigna • MetLife • Guardian • UnitedHealthcare • Humana
We also participate with select insurance plans through the Careington and Zelis networks.
Don’t see your insurance company listed? That does not necessarily mean we cannot accept your insurance. Insurance networks and plan participation can vary, so we encourage you to call our office. Our team will be happy to review your specific plan and help you understand your benefits before your visit.
Payment Options
We accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as HSA and FSA cards.
Please note that a 3% processing fee applies to credit card payments only. This fee does not apply to debit, HSA, or FSA card payments.
Checks are accepted for payments under $500.

Common Questions About Dental Insurance
Understanding dental insurance—especially the difference between in-network and out-of-network care—can be confusing. Our team is here to help you understand your benefits and what to expect before treatment.
Do I have to see a provider who is in-network with my dental insurance?
Not necessarily. Depending on your dental insurance plan, you may have the option to receive care from an out-of-network provider.
Choosing an oral surgeon is an important healthcare decision, and many patients choose their provider based on experience, comfort, location, or personal preference rather than insurance network status.
Our team can help you determine whether your plan includes out-of-network benefits and provide an estimate of your expected costs before treatment.
What does “out-of-network” mean?
An out-of-network provider does not have a contracted fee agreement with your dental insurance company.
Being out-of-network does not necessarily mean that your insurance cannot be used. Many dental insurance plans include out-of-network benefits and may still contribute toward the cost of your treatment.
The amount your insurance pays depends on your individual plan, including your deductible, annual maximum, covered services, reimbursement rates, and out-of-network benefits.
Some plans may provide limited or no out-of-network coverage, so benefits vary from patient to patient.
Will you submit my insurance claim if you are out-of-network?
Yes. When applicable, our team will submit your dental insurance claim on your behalf and provide the necessary information to your insurance company.
We are also happy to help you understand your estimated insurance benefits and anticipated out-of-pocket responsibility.
Please keep in mind that any insurance estimate is not a guarantee of payment. Your insurance company determines the final amount it will pay after processing your claim.
Will I pay more if I see an out-of-network provider?
Possibly, but not always.
Your out-of-pocket cost depends on the specific benefits of your dental insurance plan. Some plans provide substantial out-of-network benefits, while others may cover less when you receive care outside of their network.

Do I need dental insurance to be treated?
No. Dental insurance is not required to receive treatment at our office.
Patients without dental insurance—or those who choose not to use their insurance—may pay directly for their care. Our team can discuss treatment costs and available payment options with you before scheduling your procedure.
